King Room #9 is perfect for 2 people. Clean and comfortable. Great location.
We chose The Grand Guesthouse because we were looking for a place a bit off the beaten path and didn't want a "resort" atmosphere for our first trip to Key West. We were so pleased with our stay and definitely plan to book here for future visits! The communication beforehand was fast and efficient, we reserved two bicycles to explore the town and other questions answered within a couple of hours. Upon arrival, we walked up a couple of steps of the cutest front porch to the office and were greeted with a friendly smile, checked in, given an overview of the town, offered reservations at certain restaurants, recommendations of fun things to do, and shown our room. We noticed immediately the cleanliness and tasteful decor, and a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us in our room! Our room was the perfect size for the two of us with a mini-fridge, two small bedside tables with drawers, a space to hang clothes and a lovely bathroom and shower...exceptionally clean!! The courtyard is lined with beautiful plants and comfortable seating for coffee and breakfast each morning. I especially loved that the coffee was available all day...for those afternoon pick-me-ups we needed! The breakfast bar included bagels, toast, English muffins, and some homemade muffins and banana bread, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee/tea. The bike rental was PERFECT for getting around and we had so much fun exploring for two full days. It was nice to stop by to change and grab a towel for the beach, each time being greeted by the amazing staff. Whenever we popped back in we enjoyed visiting with staff and then off for another adventure! We were close enough to all the action of Duval Street yet far enough away to enjoy getting away from it when we were done. I can't express enough how wonderful the staff is...so accommodating, relaxed, kind and helpful. We can't wait to go back!!
We loved our stay. Quiet neighborhood , very friendly staff , Plenty of parking . We especially liked the patio areas. The breakfast was really nice as well. Highly recommend , very pleasant experience
Stayed at the Grand Guesthouse for 2 nights, very nice place. Rooms were cozy and had everything you needed (cutlery, microwave, toiletries, etc) AC ran super cold. Breakfast had bagels, toast, variety of spreads as well as juice, milk and all day coffee available. I came back to make some coffee in the afternoon and one of the sweet ladies offered me some extra bagels and juice and spread! It was a quick walk to the bus stop for the Duval Loop but it was also from walking distance to the butterfly conservatory and Southern Point.
The manager Jonathan is outstanding, very personable. The rooms were clean, bed were outstanding. The best way to get around is bikes , I a 70 year old can do it anyone! Moe’s the best Key Lime Pie only a couple blocks away! Hope to come back again real soon!! Have # 10 ready! Thanks Jonathan for your hospitality!
The room could smell better (less bleach please) Other than that, superb service, great price, parking included and a nice room itself with an Aircon/heater (which we had to use in this coldest ever week
It's a great experience to stay here. It is quiet and lovely. The room is cozy. The patio seating is comfortable.
I cannot say enough good things about Steve (receptionist). He was truly one of the kindest people we’ve ever met and made us feel so welcome immediately. We even stayed an extra two nights because of him. The rooms were exactly what we wanted/needed. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed including an ice machine, coffee machine, and a quick breakfast. The location was perfect, walking distance to everything but far enough to have peace and quiet. The free parking was a bonus as well, it’s hard to find parking much less for free! If you check out but want to spend some time exploring before your flight or departure, they hold your luggage and have a bathroom for you to use if need be. Overall, this Guesthouse exceeded our expectations and like I’ve mentioned, Steve is the absolute best and so helpful with all of your Key West questions! We will definitely be back!!!
